We Needed an Escape ...
... and making soap was the answer.
Like many people during the pandemic, childhood friends Linda and Amy were bored ... so very bored. As a way to keep distracted and busy their minds, they started making soap. Not only did the activity keep them on their toes, but it also gave them a great excuse to see each other more often. Plus, they found that they enjoyed the challenge of creating new scents and designs. Hence, L&A was born in Wallingford, CT, in the summer of 2021.
What We're All About
All of our soap is handmade in small batches. We maximize the amount of essential and fragrance oils in our recipes to ensure our products live up to our name: a bona fide SoapEscape!
We want you to enjoy your favorite scents and let the aroma dissolve your stress, heal your soul and make you happy.
The Creative Process
Together Linda and Amy collaborate on the featured scents. Creatively, they each come up with ideas for new soap scents, designs and forms. And your word matters, too: The L&A team takes feedback from customers on scents and designs to continue to grow, learn and turn out better escapism in a soap bar or loofah.
Amy is the maker: She focuses on soap mixing and creation. Linda is the finisher: She bundles each soap creation so it makes it to you in one piece. They each continue to come up with new and creative ways to make the soap look and smell amazing. They eat, sleep and think soap—seriously.
